This policy describes how The Bust Vault operates the Growth Hub and handles data obtained through its Google Search Console connection.
Data accessed and its purpose
After an authorized account holder connects Google, the hub checks the properties available to that account to confirm access to thebustvault.com. It then collects search-performance reports only for that property: queries, page URLs, clicks, impressions, average search positions, dates and device categories. The reports do not identify individual searchers. The hub also uses approved aggregate Shopify analytics for business analysis.
These reports help The Bust Vault understand discovery, review website performance and prepare growth recommendations. The Google connection uses Search Console read-only permission.
Storage and access
Google client credentials and authorization tokens are stored in restricted files on the operator's computer. Credentials are excluded from agent data exports and public pages. Authorized research agents can read report exports and produce internal findings. The operator controls access to the computer, reports and backups.
AI processing and other services
For AI-assisted research, relevant report contents may be sent to the AI provider connected through Paperclip, currently OpenAI. The provider processes that information according to its applicable terms and the account's data settings. Google credentials are not included in those research exports. Google and Shopify process requests to their own services. The Bust Vault does not sell these reports or provide them to advertising networks.
Retention, disconnection and deletion
The current Google export is replaced by later successful refreshes. Internal research reports, job history and backups are retained until the operator deletes them. Disconnecting Google revokes this app's authorization and removes its active Google tokens and cached search export. Previously saved research and backups require separate deletion. Account holders can also remove the app's access in their Google Account connection settings.
