Add an artist’s presence to a bookshelf, writing desk, or study with this portrait of Jan Matejko. Flowing hair, a long beard, a buttoned coat, and the original rectangular support give the bust a distinctive silhouette.
This rendition follows Jan Tombiński’s 1894 plaster model held by the Academy of Fine Arts Museum in Kraków, accession ASP-44 / Rz 76. The museum identifies Matejko as director of the School of Fine Arts in Kraków and records this model as the study for the bust at the academy’s main entrance.
Made to order by TheBustVault and crafted from PLA. Choose a height of 5, 9, or 12 inches and an Ivory White, Marble Stone, or Charcoal Black finish. The stated height includes the original support. A gift for an art lover, art teacher, or collector of Polish cultural portraits.
