This bust presents the Amazon Sciarra type, a classical image of an Amazon with softly modeled features, waved hair, and a gently inclined head. Its balanced shoulder form and pedestal make it a refined display for a library, study, or classical art collection.
The source model comes from a public domain scan of a plaster cast in the collection of the National Gallery of Denmark (SMK), catalog number KAS615. The museum identifies the work as a head of an Amazon of the Sciarra type.
Made to order by TheBustVault in PLA. Choose a 5, 9, or 12 inch height and an Ivory White, Marble Stone, or Charcoal Black finish. The size guide shows approximate dimensions for each height.
